Experience
More than 75 years ago, leading construction equipment makers were turning to Timken for tapered roller bearings. In one bulldozer, Timken tapered roller bearings were used in 34 different positions.  Over the decades, we’ve worked closely with customers as they designed and built all types of construction equipment. Together we’ve identified ways to apply Timken's bearing and steel expertise to boost performance, extend life and keep the equipment up and running.

Innovation
Construction equipment gets pushed hard and usually operates in high-debris environments, a combination that can cause frequent breakdowns. Where off-the-shelf solutions couldn’t do the job of keeping the equipment on the job, Timken experts dug deeper. Timken metallurgists identified alloys that could provide the toughness needed to forge and machine durable equipment components. And Timken material science experts applied our debris resistant bearing technology to keep the equipment rolling even on the dirtiest job sites.
