With the widest axle shoulder coverage currently available in the industry, our seals effectively cover minor axle shoulder imperfections with a molded nitrile surface. And, an oversized outside diameter provides a secure fit and prevents the seal from spinning or walking in the hub bore in cold conditions.
Timken heavy-duty seals do not significantly degrade with age. Able to withstand up to three PSI internal hub pressure build-up caused by clogged vents, our seals offer excellent temperature capabilities ranging from -20°F to 225°F (-24°C 106°C). In addition, their metal-to-metal contact promotes heat transfer away from seal.
Performing well with all recognized wheel bearing oils and greases, Timken seals have large vent holes that allow the lubricant to flow around seal lip, providing lubrication for the main seal lip for longer life. They also assist in cooling seal components.
Finally, our seals provide a robust tool impact point that is designed to help ensure damage-free installation. And, our installation tools are easy to use and assure superior installation of hub seals.
