Heavy-Duty Seals

Oil seals - often called grease, fluid or dirt seals - are vital components in practically every type of vehicle in operation. They protect all types of bearings, helping retain lubricants and liquids, exclude contaminants and separate dissimilar fluids or gases.

Timken's heavy-duty oil seals are designed to last and allow for less than perfect operating conditions. Our seals include rubber ribs that cover the entire axle shoulder, sealing around grooves and nicks. The seal's running surface is also even and flexible, allowing the seal to move from side to side when needed.

Large vent holes in our heavy-duty seals let lube flow to and from seal, removing heat build-up. With a reinforced outer case that significantly reduces the risk of installation damage, our seals run close to the axle, shortening the distance per revolution and reducing wear.
